Managing the Toll of Myasthenia Gravis — It Takes a Team

When you look at SeAndrea, you see a confident and engaging school teacher. What you can’t see is a long and difficult journey to manage a rare autoimmune disease. SeAndrea started experiencing symptoms of generalized myasthenia gravis (MG) as a teenager, including droopy eyelids and difficulty swallowing.

Years later, she has found a strong support system that ensures she can have a rewarding career as a teacher. Even though she can still show symptoms of myasthenia gravis in her classroom, there is always a plan in motion to support her.

Hear from SeAndrea as she details how her community makes life with MG work for her.

Want to hear from more people living with generalized Myasthenia Gravis about their experiences? Meet MeridithJeri, BryanJessica, Tiffany, Thomas, and Kim.
